Where We Are Now...

David Shepherd, 2nd PI, left HRI at Sheffield to become Dean of Humanities and Social Sciences, then in 2017 became Deputy Vice-Chancellor at Christ Church University.

Helen Dampier, 3rd PI, left the project before completion and is Senior Lecturer at Leeds Becket University.

Andrea Salter, Research Associate, became Research Associate on the Whites Writing Whiteness project, leaving to become School Research Facilitator across the Schools of Arts & Humanities and the Humanities & Social Sciences at the University of Cambridge and also an Honorary Research Fellow on WWW.

From the HRI team, Mike Meredith became a Senior Lecturer at Sheffield Hallam while Matthew Groves became technical Officer to WWW.

PhD student, Donna Hetherington moved to a research librarianship. PhD student Sarah Poustie is a Lecturer at Dundee College.

Liz Stanley, PI, is still Prof essorof Sociology at the University of Edinburgh, and after the Schreiner Letters project gained an ‘excellent’ evaluation was awarded an ESRC Professorial Research Fellowship, which gave rise to the Whites Writing Whiteness project.
