Mrs C C (Charles Christiaan) De Villiers

Mrs CC De Villiers (her personal name cannot be established) was the wife of Charles Christiaan de Villiers (1847 - 1937), an attorney at Cape Town and M.L.A. (Member of the Legislative Assembly) for Malmesbury in 1888. It seems that Schreiner knew Mrs De Villiers through their mutual involvement in relief work for Boer women and children during the 1899-1902 South African War.
