Mr Mushet(t)
James Wellwood Mushet (1881 - 1954) was a businessman and Cape parliamentarian. He grew up in Scotland but immigrated to South Africa in 1899 where he set up a general merchants business, J.W. Mushet & Co. with branches in Cape Town, Durban and Johannesburg. In 1912 he married Alice Henrietta Elizabeth Findlay, daughter of John and Katie Findlay of Fraserburg and niece of Olive Schreiner.
