Margaret Molteno
Margaret Molteno was a daughter of Percy Molteno and lived in Britain; she married her cousin George Murray, son of Schreiner’s friend Caroline Murray, in 1918. George was killed in action shortly thereafter. After a legal challenge to the South African Deceased Brother’s Widow’s Marriage Act by the Murray family, aided and abetted by Schreiner, Margaret went on to marry George’s brother Lennox Murray.
