Guy Hemming

Guy Hemming was one of the children of Schreiner’s sister Alice Hemming and her husband Robert. After Alice’s death in 1884 Guy and the other Hemming children were cared for primarily by Ettie Schreiner (later Stakesby-Lewis). Guy Hemming was troubled by mental illness and eventually admitted to a psychiatric institution in Cape Town.
