Gopal Krishna Gokhale

Gopal Krishna Gokhale (1866 - 1915) was an important figure in the Indian independence movement against British rule in India. Gokhale was a key leader in the Indian National Congress and a proponent of social and political reform. He appears in Schreiner’s letters regarding the sense of loss his death had for Gandhi circles.
