George Moore
George Augustus Moore (1852 - 1933) was an Irish writer and novelist. Schreiner’s letters during the 1880s make several references to Moore’s 1885 novel A Mummer’s Wife. From a 1885 snippet of letter to Ellis which appears in Cronwright-Schreiner’s The Letters, Schreiner and Moore had met: “George Moore has been here all the evening. He is a real man of genius.”
