Dear Mrs Solly

I enclose you a note from Mrs Pethick Lawrence which may interest you,
please return it.

I hope all goes well with our little womans League. I am quite sure
that as time passes all the feeling against Mrs Macfadyen as President
will pass. It is just the South African feeling against anything not
South African & above all anything new! The great advantage is that
this last objective soon passes, & anything new so soon becomes "old",
& then of course it is accepted.

I am living at de Aar now. We have a little room built out in the veld
as far as they will allow us to build from the Camp & am very happy
here with my dear husband in spite of the terrible dust & wind & heat.
Anything is better than being separated from him. I hope all goes well
with you.
