Dear Fan, I’ve just got all the papers, so don’t trouble to send
them.

Cron came back from de Aar today. I got up at six this morning to
knead my bread which I am glad to say has turned out fine; but I’m
very sleepy as I took advantage of feeling very well to turn out my
coal & wood room getting ready for the winter.

Is not this Basson case terrible? Perhaps it’s only because I live
so much alone that it seems to affect me so terribly.

Good night, dear. Your little sister sends much love to you all, most
of all to my old brother.
