Dear Mrs Murray

Thanks so much for your letter. I have now written to Mrs M’Gill too.
I fear the place may be too close lying in a hollow, but I want to
try it before I go on to Matjesfontein as I shall be so much nearer my
husband there.

I would be so nice if I could see you there. I have a longing for
human intercourse of late of a kind I never had before: I suppose
because I am now not able to think or write much my-self.

I will write & let you know if I go to Krom River

Yours with many thanks
