Dear Laddie

I hope you had a good time of rest at Gordon’s Bay. I leave for
Matjesfontein on Tuesday next & shall likely stay there a month to try
& get better.

I’ll write & let you know how it goes with me there. I have just
heard that Theo & Kate Stuart have taken a house there for six months.
But I can’t change my plan because of them. There’s no where else
I can go.

Don’t work too hard dear. Look upon holidays & exercise gentle
persistent exercise as your first duty in life.

Love to the dear folk at Lyndall.
