My dear old Boy

Yes, I got your photo from ?Mayer. It is as Alice says like a painting
& a very good picture. But it depresses me. Is that my "little Will"
looking so! It’s the same look Fred had in his face when I went to
England the last time ^only your face has only a touch of it,^ & that I
have: it’s not age. People are eighty & don’t have it - it just
means that the pump doesn’t work. So as yet I’ve not hung it up
though I suppose I shall get used to it & do so. Oh dear lad, do take
care of yourself, & not work too hard. You are still where I was 8
years ago, & you might save yourself at least for many years.
