Dear Friend

Thanks for your letter. We leave for Hanover next week. Parliament
closes the day after tomorrow. Your brother Jim made a first rate
little speech the other night, shutting up Juta so that he didn’t
stir again!!! I wish he would speak more. I will ask Miss Viljoen
about the house as soon as I get back.

Cron has been doing very good work this session; working tremendously
hard on committees & has made one or two short little speeches much to
the point. Its He’s always best when he’s not thought of what he's
going to say & rises on the spur of the moment.

Good bye. I am so glad you are having such a good time. I’m going to
take Neta’s body up with me, so that she can be buried with me
