Dear Fan
Thanks for the letter you forwarded me. The Woman Question MS. has not
yet come.
I can’t understand that woman’s letter. I never told her to
address the MS cheque for the article on the Woman Question to Will. I
told her to address it to me, but to enclose it in an outer envelope
addressed to you, as I thought we might by the time it came have left
Hanover, & you would know where to send it in. I never mentioned
Will’s name to her
. Please tell Will this. The cheque ought to be
for about £61. If it does come drawn out in Will’s favour will you
ask him please to pay it into my account at the Standard Bank. I am
not at all fit. I wish one could get a change of air if only for a few
days. My heart has been troubling me much again. I hope you are all
well: let me know how "little" Will passes.

The 'Woman Question MS' and 'article on the Woman Question' refer to two linked articles on 'Woman' published in the US, with these eventually becoming Woman and Labour.
