Dear Fan

I am very anxious about the little mother & must come down next month
to see her about the 7th or 8th. I sh hope ^but shall let you know the
exact date^ I shall stay at Mrs Purcells. I shall only be in town two
days as my chest is too bad for me to risk staying longer. Please come
& see me there the first day as the second day I shall spend with
mother & probably leave the same night. I shouldn’t like not to see
you.

I am feeling so anxious about the Mother I should come now at once but
I’m not quite strong enough ?for it yet

You will hardly believe when I tell you how the railway officials
treated me at Pretoria & on the way down: one thought when peace was
made things would go better. I just feel as if I couldn’t face the
journey. The crowds who came to the station at Hanover Rd= two years
ago shouting to hell with Olive Schreiner, were gentle & polite
compared to the people I had to deal with now.

unreadable Good bye dear. Love to you all
Your little sis
