My dear Friend

The four pounds came all right. I have still £5 of the £10 in hand.
I want us to try & send the eldest boys to the poor white school at
Uitenhage so that they may learn trades. Did Miss Greene ever get my
letter enclosing Isabella Ford’s to me. I will try to send you a
post card or a letter every day, so ^that^ if you don’t hear you will
know the letter has not come. There is so much, so very much I would
want to say if I could see you. But writing is no good.

I hope you had a good time at Sea Point Cape Point. The weather is
just simply heavenly here. The feeling comes to one, surely in a world
where there is such infinite beauty, there must be ultimately justice.

Good bye, dear
Olive

Did I tell you my eldest brother’s only son & only child is dead.
See Cron if you can & he will tell ^you more of my news.^
