I got a letter from Cron’s mother this morning I thought would have
interested you, but I've mislaid it. She has had a letter from
Cron’s brother who is a burger in Pretoria. She did not tell me if
he had been to the Front, but says his letters is full of praise of
the Boers, & says how proud he is to be a citizen of such a brave
great little nation &c. He says the Boers there have no feeling
against the English soldiers & are treating them the English prisoners
more "like honoured guests" than like prisoners. Don’t our old
Transvaalers show up well on every side? I shall be glad to have my
Ollie Boy next week. I feel sure things will O go well.
