Dear Friend

I have got a beautiful room here in this beautiful house, with a
beautiful view. I got here yesterday morning. Cron was at the station
to meet me, & when we had brought my box up here we went out & spent
the morning at Cron’s mother’s house at Mowbray. To day he has
gone out to spend the day with his mother, & will not be back again
till four or five, & I am hoping you & Miss Greene may turn up if you
come into Town. I seem to long to see you so.

This is a most wonderful place, much higher up even than Mrs
Purcell’s, but I don’t know how long I’ll stay. I am going to
try do some revising of proofs this morning.

What a fine speech Merriman made on Wednesday, I’ve not yet seen the
paper with your brother’s or the others. I hope Sauer will turn his
heavy guns into Crewe.

Good bye, dear friends
Olive

Wasn’t the meeting at Middelburg good? When are you coming to the
Old Man’s Home?? Soon I hope.
