Thanks so much for your letter, & the two little dogs!!! I send you
Cron’s last letter. He doesn’t mention it but I hear from another
source, that he was kicked insensible in Edinburgh & had to be carried
to a cab. Kier Hardy, who has twenty years experience of public
meetings in England & who was with Cron at many of the meetings, says
they were distinctly hired mobs, & not spontaneous, out bursts. You
will see what Cron says in his letter about their sending up men from
London. I have been laid up with bronchitis for some days, but have go
up this afternoon.

Did Keetje get my wire? I addressed it just Mrs Silke, Cape Town as I
didn’t know where she would be staying. I will write to her as soon
as I am better.

I am always thinking of her, & the four poor little ones.

Good bye, dear.
Olive

Tell dear old Ele how sorry I was to hear she’d been ill. Thank her
so much for the skirt that has come.

I send you a cutting from the Dundee paper. I can’t understand how
Lloyd can allow Theo's miserable lies to prevent him from defending
the Boers.

^Would you mind posting this letter as soon as you hear Professor
Chiens Hospital Staff has arrived: & you could enclose a note asking
him to call on you. I would be so glad. Then you could hear all about
Cron & tell me. ^
