8 I have your letter & return the cuttings. I am sending you a very nice
9pamphlet & letter I got from a Presbyterian minister at Dundee in
10Scotland. There are some who see the wickedness & injustice of this
11war in England & who are fighting for us.

13 All life must be a battle against injustice & lies, & only when death
14comes will there be a sweet sleep. It goes to ones heart to know that
15these brave English soldiers & ^African^ Burgers must die, for this
16handful of miserable Uitlanders & speculators – but out of evil may,
17must yet come good. "Thou ?God that which thou sowest is not quickened
18unless it die.

Some newspaper cuttings are attached to this letter from the Cape Daily Telegraph, and include letters from old and present Collegiate girls denying that Molteno ever spoke about politics at school, as she was apparently earlier accused earlier of doing in The Advertiser newspaper.
