Dear Friend

I have your letter & return the cuttings. I am sending you a very nice
pamphlet & letter I got from a Presbyterian minister at Dundee in
Scotland. There are some who see the wickedness & injustice of this
war in England & who are fighting for us.

All life must be a battle against injustice & lies, & only when death
comes will there be a sweet sleep. It goes to ones heart to know that
these brave English soldiers & ^African^ Burgers must die, for this
handful of miserable Uitlanders & speculators – but out of evil may,
must yet come good. "Thou ?God that which thou sowest is not quickened
unless it die.

Yours ever & ever
Olive

I am going to try & get the military authorities to ^let me^ get a
letter through to dear Mrs Lloyd.
