I am just writing a long cable of 500 words to the New York Journal,
calling on the American people to strengthen the hands of those
English in Africa & England who are struggling in the cause of peace &
justice in South Africa ^by expressing their sympathy with us.^ It will
be much better than the cable to the Guardian because I felt so very
ill that day. I’m writing, writing all the time. Send me all the
news you can & if anything special should happen please send a wire
