My dear old Sister
I’ve been thinking so much of you the last days (one does think more
of folks some times than other times!) & what a dear beautiful little
wife you’ve been to our old Will. It’s such a comfort to know he
always has your strong faithful heart to turn to. I met a business man
here the other day, who said Will looked very ill before the end of
the session. He must have looked bad before a business man of that
type would have noticed it. I’m glad to hear he’s looking a bit
better since you got out to Kalk Bay.
I have been ill in bed for some time again, & don’t find this place
suits me as much as Kimberley. But Cron likes it very much & is happy
here & I couldn’t leave him here alone in this place. I hope all our
small folk flourish. I long to see them a great deal. I haven’t any
more to say so good bye.
Your little sister
