Dear Friend

I hope you went back refreshed & strengthened from your little holiday.
I am still in Johannesburg but I think I go back next week or about
the 24th. But I’m not sure yet. The doctor wants me to give the
place a little longer trial or I would have left yesterday. It’s not
doing me any good. It seems so far change of place has not helped. But
perhaps some day if Cron comes up to live here & we have a little
house of our own & are together it will help. Dear, dear one. You were
given me to be a comfort & help to me in this unreadable time. The
thought of you & Miss Green is a strength to me. Things seem going
well in Cape Town eh? They say the Governor is getting disgusted with
Rhodes & Sprig.
