6 We have been back here for a week now. I wonder where you are going
7for this short Holiday. I would it were some where near me. I am well
8enough to do all my cooking & house work, but mentally I am so dead. I
9never felt dead mentally in my life before, & a sight of you & Miss
10Green would be a big tonic.

12 Perhaps in Jan ^or Feb^ if the heat is too terrible to stay I may go to
13the Kowie for week, & perhaps you & Miss Green will come there & will
14paddle & bathe. The Kowie is the only place in Africa that’s as
15sweet as Alassio.

17 It’s a good thing Mr Moffit is taking up the case of the
18Betchuanaland natives – but where are all the politicians??

20 I was glad, so glad to hear from Mrs Murray how many expressions of
21sympathy with your work in Port Elizabeth you had had from people
22there. I suppose you are thinking of no immediate move?
