Dear Friend
We have been back here for a week now. I wonder where you are going
for this short Holiday. I would it were some where near me. I am well
enough to do all my cooking & house work, but mentally I am so dead. I
never felt dead mentally in my life before, & a sight of you & Miss
would be a big tonic.
Perhaps in Jan ^or Feb^ if the heat is too terrible to stay I may go to
the Kowie for week, & perhaps you & Miss Green will come there & will
paddle & bathe. The Kowie is the only place in Africa that’s as
sweet as Alassio.
It’s a good thing Mr Moffit is taking up the case of the
Betchuanaland natives – but where are all the politicians??
I was glad, so glad to hear from Mrs Murray how many expressions of
sympathy with your work in Port Elizabeth you had had from people
there. I suppose you are thinking of no immediate move?
Much love to you from Cron. We have got his youngest brother here
spending a short time with us.
Good bye. You always form part of my life now.
