Dear Laddie

It’s been a bitter disappointment to me not be with you all even for
the one day. But I’m pretty well dead beat, & can’t get on much
further I sometimes fancy. But it may be other wise; & Cron’s love &
tenderness towards me are a great thing to one who has hither too had
to fight all ill ill health alone. I hope he saw the children, it will
be partly like my seeing them myself.

Cron if he saw will you will have told you of Het. There is no more
hope of her pregnancy. She bore the final blow noble, as of course she
would.

Will some day make time & come & visit me & Cron a little. I know it
will make you happy to be with us, & we’ll love you so.

Good bye dear heart
