4 I shall be here till next Thursday when Het I hope arrives at
5Middelburg Rd Station & I meet her & go to Aliwal which is only 10
6hours from here. I shall go back straight to Matjesfontein on my
7return so I guess I shall be there by Tuesday next.

9 It will so happen that we shall just arrive at Witteberg on my
10birthday which is funny as I had not arranged planned it so. I’m
11all right. I should like a talk with you about my affairs but can’t
12write. Has Fred sent you N any money for this month. I only ask not
13that I’m in need of it.
