6 I wonder if you ever still remember me?!! Curious how my letter
7writing power seems gone. It is almost agony to me to write one now.
8But I’m coming home to England in April & then I’ll see you I hope. I
9have so much to tell you about the Old Land. It’s been the coldest
10longest winter known here for 25 years they say. It's been eight
11months winter. I wish I had some news of you all.

20 Will’s picture of the ruined chapel is always on my mantelpiece. I’m
21still at Matjesfontein you see. In two days I’m going down to town for
22a few days. It will be hard to leave South Africa but I must lest you
23should all forget me.

27 Tell me about yourselves. I haven’t anything about myself to tell. I
28seem to have less & less of a personal life apart from my work &
29thought. And I always think people I love will see that when I publish.
