Dear Miss Sharpe

I hardly expected you in the rain, yet was disappointed. I didn’t
send the book because I hope you come next Friday & Miss E– with you.

I am going to write a note for the club, but don’t ha yet know
subject certainly. Am very busy finishing a story. Will let you know
subject as soon as I can.

Do come next Friday. We differ very much in many of our views, but I
have such an admiration for your sincerity & "standfast"ness" that I
like you as much when I am differing from you as when we are agreeing.

Wasn’t the last meeting good. The paper & dis-cussion both so
interesting.

Always sincerely yours
