Dear Mrs Solomon

I have not read Platjes book but will get it from Mundie's. You know I
am a pacifist, & from what I hear he advocates the natives coming over
here to help kill. I think it the greatest mistake. I have a friend a
Mr Hodgson who has been deeply interested in Platje's book, he has
asked me if I could get him a copy of the Blue Book - with the
minority report. I have not got a copy of it. Would it be possible for
you to lend it to him? He would carefully return it. If it was too
much trouble to post it to him & you would give your consent I would
give him your address & he might call for the books - if you cared to
lend them. He wants very much to meet Solomon Platje Could you perhaps
arrange for him to meet him in your house?

I can understand how precious your son's poem must be to you. Forgive
this short note I began it some time ago, but have been too ill to
finish it.
