Dear Mary

If you do decide not to send Dorothy to Miss Molteno but to take her
to England a splendid idea has struck me. My darling Alice Corthorn
has now started practice in Kensington 19 Russell Rd a very nice
healthy part. She has a beautiful big house, with for London a large
garden. We are going to stay with her when we go. Her & sister & a
girl medical student live with her. Shall I write & ask her if she
will let Dorothy board with them, & go to a day-school ^near^ there.
Kensington is rich in first class schools. I don't know if she will be
able to take her, but they would love & pet the child, & she would be
among l cultured people. I know Alice will do it for my sake if she
possibly can. What would you be willing to pay for her board?

I'm sure it would be good for Dorothy to be there
