Dear Katie
Thank you so much for your kind letter. I should have answered it at
once but I have been very ill. I have been to see Mother. You will be
glad to know I left her looking much better.
It has been a great pleasure to me to see Fred & Alice. I hope I shall
yet see you all before I leave the Cape.
Give my love to Eliza. I hope you will all have a most happy Xmas
together. I suppose you will find Fred & Alice much changed.
I will write again soon dear sister, till then believe me
Yours very lovingly
