Legend
The Project is grateful to the Harry Ransom Humanities Research Center, the University of Texas at Austin, for kindly allowing us to transcribe this Olive Schreiner postcard, which is part of its Manuscript Collections. The date of this postcard is illegible, but another postcard about the 16 December Criterion arrangement and Hodgson's gift of eggs is dated 8 December. The addressee and the address it was sent to are on the front of the postcard. Schreiner was resident at Porchester Place from early April 1917 until August 1920, when she left Britain for South Africa.
1Am I to meet you at the Criterion on Sunday at 7? I have mislaid your
2letter. All the eggs were good but one Thanks so much. I have mislaid
3your letter with the sender’s address.
