I am am giving myself the great pleasure of introducing to you
through this letter my friend Mr Rose-Innes who with his wife, also my
dear friend, will be spending some weeks in London. Mr Innes is the
Attorney General in the Cape Colony, one of our most broad &
enlightened leading men. You will find conversation with him as
delightful & interesting as I believe & am sure he will find talking
with you. Any thing you can do to take him into the heart of things at
home, or make his stay interesting will be more to me than were it
done for myself. I hope talking with him may increase your wish to
visit the Cape. ^We want you here.^
