…I had a terrible fright this morning. The black girl suddenly
2called out the mierkats were being attacked by a strange dog; far away
3on the Railway line I saw three strangers & a white dog & the mierkats
4all mixed up together. I rushed off wildly shrieking, ran like the
5wind. When I got there I found it was the mierkats chasing the dog!…
6I brought them back to the house, but have that feeling of a great
7throbbing cricket ball under my left shoulder which I always have when
8I run too fast or lift things... I wish you could have gone with me to
9Camps Bay it twice I went. I was so delightful there sitting on the
10rocks & watching the sea & the beautiful sand. I always long for you
11when I am by the sea. I suppose it’s because we’ve been so happy
12at the Kowie together. I wonder if we shall ever go there again…
