Dear Lucy

My sisters trap was kicked to bits by the horse yesterday, so I
shan’t be coming this afternoon.

It was so nice to be with you yesterday.

I’m so glad your sister is coming.

Lucy, dear, don’t stay down here if you feel the damp a bit trying.
I’m sure it will be good the baby as well as you to be in that high
up-country air. I fear just because the winter has been so fine at the
beginning it will be very damp at the end.

I might be able to come over for a few minutes tomorrow but don’t
stop in for me because it’s very doubtful.

Yours ever
Olive
