Dear Lucy

I shall be at the station at 3-53. Thank you so much. I’m afraid
that Anna Purcell won’t be able to come as he’s very unwell. Would
you think it very funny if I were to ask you to ask Mrs WP Schreiner
if she can’t. I want my sister-in-law so much to meet Mrs Alexander
& now I’m going so soon I shant be able to arrange for it. Have you
asked Mrs Haldane Murray? She’s leaving on Thursday so may not be
able to come. She’s one of those absolutely true direct women one
prizes so. I do hope you’ll like my beautiful, little Mrs Alexander.
There seems no hope of Betty or Miss Greene coming out from the
letters I got this week.

I hope the heat has not made you bad.
