8 Dear Laddie, keep clear of that scoundrel Crewe: There are so many men
9who would like to work with you; who must fight that villain. If you &
10other good men don’t support him he will fizzel out, in spite of all
11the money that is behind him. I think that he & Redmond Orpen
12represent the worst element in the old de Beers set.
