Sunday morning

Dear Fan,
I would have written before, but when I got here I was like a pricked
bladder with no air in. Today I’m fitter. We’ve had a thunderstorm
& a beautiful shower of rain & every thing looks bright & fresh.
Thank you so much old darling sister for all your kindness to me: my
two stays with you are a delightful memory. I only wish you could come
& visit me a little. My little house is so beautiful now with
thousands of chrysanthemums just coming with bloom all round, & the
garden is still full of flowers.
Much love & many thanks to you dear
