Dear Mrs Murray

Thank you so much for your letter & invitation I should have liked
greatly to come if I had been feeling as well as a few weeks ago; but
now I’m just holding on, so I must stay in town where on the whole
its drier.

Will you not come in & lunch with me some day this week; any day but
Friday will do as I am going to lunch at Mary Sauers, & I hope you may
be there too – or Saturday when we are going out.

I find this Natal business & the yet more terrible things that lie
before us very depressing; because one is so powerless to do anything.

I long to see Miss Molteno & miss Greene but I really can’t wish any
one in this land who feels as we do.

Did you see Mrs Lawrence’s picture in the Review of Reviews?

Yours affecy
Olive Schreiner

^I hope the beautiful little grand-daughter flourishes. You are rich in
having her.^
