Darling Betty

Do try & come to see me tomorrow night I have something so interesting
to tell you & I am not able to come & see you.

My dear love I can’t let you go on paying for your room here. I am
too ill now to be able to go about with you to meetings or be any good
to to you, or any one. Perhaps if I could have the treatment three
times a week as I had last year I should get better. but I shouldn’t
be much good any how. Last night dear Hodgson offered to take me to
any theatre I liked, & I have longed for so many months to go to a
theatre, but at the last moment I couldn’t go & was back here by by
seven thirty. I missed so not seeing your beautiful face; but I know
its only selfishness I want to tell you something I heard today.

Good bye dear.
