My dear dear Betty

I do hope you are having a good restful time. I am very happy, Cron is
so sweet, & its so good not to be alone, but the heat has made me too
unwell to go out with him as I would like. He is going to pay all my
expenses out to South Africa, but he has not much money & fears he may
have to give up the trip to America I hope not, even if he goes only
for a little time. If I should see Margaret or Mrs Murray before you
return (which is not likely) I will of course not hint at anything
about Lenox. ^Nor^ anything you have told me

“Great is silence” One may injure a fellow human more by talking
about them & their affairs than by stabbing them

I do hope your weather is better than here, & that you are able to
take long walks I have a hope when you know Margaret & Mrs Murray are
here you will have the feeling you must run up & see them.

Good bye my darling darling Betty. You will never know what your being
in England has meant to me. I should have been so utterly lonely
without you.
Olive
