3My dear old sister

5I went again to see Edna today. She was asleep but I saw Ol. The third
6swelling on her breast is not getting better, so there will have to be
7another operation, I think tomorrow. She has had three operations
8already. It goes to my heart, when they were so happy over their
9little babe & she seemed so well the first couple of days. I do hope
10when this swelling has been opened that she will get quite well.

12Baby is six weeks old today.

14I know you will be full of thoughts of our Dot with her little one
15coming in that hot climate. I hardly ever have her out of my thoughts.

17I saw Dr Corthorn today. She looks very ill.

19I am expecting Ruth Alexander here this week. It will be a comfort to
20me to see her.

22Dear I wonder if I shall ever see you again. I want to so. I had a
23lovely long letter from Tommy Gregg yesterday. He must be a dear
24fellow: he says he has asked his mother & sister to come & see me.
