5Just after I posted to you came news Miss Greene was very bad. She
6Betty started off at once; Florence Gre Alice’s sister went in the
7same train to Cornwall so she was not alone.

9I have had two letters & a wire from Betty – the last one enclosed
10says Miss Greene was free of the pain. I think they are getting a
11night nurse.

13You will have heard that dear Dr Purcell is dead. His heart has been
14bad for a long time. I wish I could be with Anna I feel as if I might
15comfort her.
