Dear Betty

I am so sad to have missed you. I would take a taxi & drive up to your
rooms only, I’m sure to find you out. I suppose you will go to spend
Xmas with Alice or your brother. The only reason why I’m sorry to be
here is that I’m so far from you. I haven’t seen or spoken to a
human being this week but ^tomorrow^ tonight I am going to a woman’s
meeting to hear Haldane speak on Education. If you should care to go
too could you meet me at my Doctors Dr Ettie Sayer 5 35 Upper Brook
Street just a few doors off Park Lane, near the top. I’m not quite
sure if 35 is the address but you’ll see a large Bl plate on the door
with her name. I shall be there at 4.30 finishing my treatment & from
there will go straight to the meeting. If you call there we could go
together. Her address may n be 34 but I think its 35. Its just a few
doors after you turn out of Park Lane into Upper Brook Street. I long
to see you.

I hope you had a nice time with Alice.

treatment

^but sometimes I go in the afternoon.^
