Dear Kathleen
I must write a few words to you. I know how one feels to the little
brother one grew up with. Always when I was at Llandrindod May was
talking of you to me, so that I know you much better than you know me.
I realize so all you will be feeling. I see him always as he stood at
his wedding, making his little speech with a sweet smile on his face &
little Margaret looking up at him so proud & glad. He had a happy life,
& was surrounded with love. He will never know the sorrows & agonies
we who make the long journey have to go through. He was like a
beautiful flower just opened & then picked.
I have written to my darling May. It is so hard that she is so far
away, but her dear husband will help her all he can.
Yours with love
Olive Schreiner
