5Dear, Thanks for your card. I do hope you are now feeling quite well
6again. You seem so happy at Fish Hoek I don’t believe I shall ever
7see you here. I am still with dear May & so well getting stronger
8every day.

10I am still hoping against hope that Eva Greene will be able to come
11for a few days. Give my love to Ted Molteno when you see him. His
12visits were one of the pleasantest remembrances left by the long, dark,
13 years in London. The old London has completely died away for me; it
14exists in my memory of long ago, but it is not this London.

17I like to think of you & Betty at Fishhoek.
