My dear Laddie

I am too ill to go to that place at Hampstead, & next week shall leave
as soon as I can do my packing of Llandrindod in Wales. Where there
are baths & electric treatment The stone in my kidney is very bad I
often have attack of pain like that I had at Muizenburg when you & Fan
came to see. I may have to go to a nursing home. I had hoped so to
keep about to the end; not like Ellie.

I know my darling boy is doing what he thinks right. It’s been such
a pleasure to me to see Fan.

I may get much better when I get to Llandrindod, but I have been
getting steadily worse the last year.
