13I was going to Holland this week, but we’ve not been able to go. I
14was looking forward to the change of scene of air much as for the
15?submarines One may as well die one way as the other! There were over
16100 of us booked to go.

18Theres such a lovely golf ground at Barnes – so close – wouldn’t
19it be possible for you to go & have a game there once a week or so.
20The air’s fine there. I pass it when I go on my daily bus excursions
21which are my only extravagances & form dissipation I hope the better
22weather is picking you up entirely.
