Dear Have you news of Ol. I think of him in this damp & cold which
Cape People can’t generally stand.

I shall likely be here till Saturday then I hope to move to to a
private Hotel in George Street which will be warmer. If you address to
Adela’s care, don’t put mine inside hers as she will be away till
Monday. She was to go tomorrow to see poor Mrs Earle whose son married
to Lady Loch’s daughter has gone off to the front. Her eldest son
was killed at Margers-fontein, & Adela says she’s quite broken. Ol
is hardly ever out of my thoughts. I hope you’ll come up to London
for a little time before you leave.

Cron has made a great mistake. I asked him if ever he cabled to me to
cable to Oliver’s care Trinity College – thinking Ol was the only
one of the family who was a fixture!! He’s just the one who isn’t
a fixture. And Cron made a mistake he thinks I asked him to send his
letters to me to Oliver. I said clearly cables if he was ill or wanted
me to come.

Could you dear, make any arrangement by which letters sent to me to
his care could by the college people be sent on to me.

I’m so anxious for Cape news.

Good bye dear. I’m not happy about our Bill.

Good bye, love to Ursie.
