Dear old sister

I hope you have got safely to your journeys end as far as Queens Town
& are having a good time with May. I am glad you went off with that
good news about boy Oliver to cheer you, & you will have been quite
happy when Mrs ?Devenish joined you. Give my love to her & May. I got
back yesterday morning, so glad to be home & see my old man. I think
the worst of having no children is that you care for your husband too
much. He is looking very fit & so are all the animals.

We are going to have a thunderstorm this afternoon. I hope you have
taken enough cool dresses with you dear. You’ll find it quite warm
at Kitty’s.

Cron sends much love to you. He says you must come & spend a few days
with us on your way back or at least one day! My flower garden has all
gone to ruin with the drought & everything looks very dry here.

Give my love to Kitty & Joe. You’ll have a lovely time with them
I’m sure.
Your little sister
